Pivot Point Village of Hope

Our plan is to build our pilot village with six to 10 units, these units will be constructed by community volunteers and organizations. Our plan is to secure land up to 2 acres Max that will be convenient to the existing bus line so that residents can continue to use community services such as Roof Above’s Day Center, Local library, DSS, DMV, etc. We will contract with a local waste disposal company for use of bathroom facilities and partner with project outpour for the use of the mobile shower. We will partner with local agencies to provide the wrap around services and basic skills needed to sustain permanent housing. Client selection will be done through an interview process and the HMIS tracking system to determine which clients would be eligible for our program. Each client will sign policy and procedure documents and be given a Client’s Right’s package. Clients’ length of stay will be 6 to 18 months or longer to ensure client has met all their goals to sustain permanent housing. Each client will be given a copy of the campus rules and procedures for non-compliance. Each client will be Assess to find out what barriers they may have and assigned daily, weekly and monthly goals to keep them motivated and moving upward to permanent housing through case management and peer support. On completion of their stay at Pivot Point each client will receive a Certificate of Completion showing that they have received training and the basic skills to sustain housing.This pilot project should give us sustainability and data needed to show that we have a proven concept that people who are experiencing homelessness and living on the streets and outside can transition to living inside and sustaining permanent housing.
